AUDREY SITS

Last week Audrey fully mastered the art of sitting up. One day she needed support, and the next she just did it. She woke up and decided enough of this struggling with this minor little milestone, I got this! And she did it. Here is a video of here as of today. It is a week after she started sitting! SO CUTE my baby!

Memorial Day

Took a trip to the cabin and saw probably some of the last snow of the season. It always surprises me how late spring comes up there seeing as it has already hit 100 here. The cabin is the perfect get away from Las Vegas in the summer. It is so so nice. The only thing I don't like is that I sleep in the same room as Audrey. I am sorry I don't know how mom's do that, let alone sleep in the same bed. I get NO sleep. AND, I miss my big comfy lazy boy chair that I feed Audrey in at night. It is really hard to have to support your own body weight when you are dead tired. SHEESH!

Otherwise, we had a great time and got to see some beautiful scenery and be outdoors and dig up LOTS of rocks.

Then we came back in to town a little early so we could go bowling surprise for Charles birthday and have a big barbeque with his family. Good times. Love my man! He is so good to me and he puts up with all the stuff no one else will! He makes me a better person. And he is just about the best dad a little girl could ask for. LOVE YOU BABE!

Here are some pictures of this weekend!

So I thought I would share this great little video of Charles being the best dad that he can be. This is something truly special that him and his daughter share.

5 month update

Ok here she is. Our one and only, our pride and joy, and essentially the only thing exciting in our lives. Audrey Adele at a whole 5 months old!!!

Things are going SO great and as of right now Audrey is so close to mastering some major milestones and we feel pretty blessed. She hasn't quite hit 16 pounds yet so she is still a fairly small baby. Although her might and will is powerful. She has successfully mastered rolling over like a pro! She is almost entirely sitting up on her own. She still falls over every few times and had her first self induced injury (well minor bonk on the head) when she toppled over into her swing. You would never have known that it probably barley hurt though. MAN, better watch out when this one gets offended. She can hang out on her hands and knees for a couple minutes at a time. I consider this a major feet seeing as I swear the girl didn't know how to use her arms until about a week ago.

She is now sleeping about 12 hours at night and will only wake up once. YEA! And we have successfully incorporated everything dairy back into our diets with no notice of complaint. We think Audrey is beginning the morphing stage into wanting to be attached to my hip at all times. She has had a couple of rough days here, but maybe we can break her of it before she thinks she needs this stage. Audrey's favorite thing is cups. Not sure why exactly, but she always stares and now reached for a cup any time someone is taking a drink. She has a little sippy cup that she mostly just soaks herself with.

We love being her parents and she is an exceptionally good baby. We had our first cereal a couple days ago, went well. Our first dip of the little legs into the pool, went fairly well. And we have officially switched to a mind blowing ability to fall asleep by ourselves in our crib!!!!! WOW! This is a big one. OH and our biggest news.....Audrey is loosing all that baby hair. She still has a fair amount that has been growing for a while, but adios are the days of her little mohawk! Anyway, we hope you enjoy some of the pictures posted of our cutest.

Charles did not make it for the fire department in Denver. Although he did test much higher than the Vegas test so we will see for future testings. We are still hoping for a couple other "real" jobs so we will keep you all posted.

Things are going well with the photography stuff for me. I couldn't sleep last night for distraction of so many ideas in my head of great new shots. I have a hunger to be really great and I hope that I can teach myself a lot seeing as I have no time to go to school right now.

We are so grateful and so blessed to know so many great people and be so blessed in our lives. Thanks to all who love us.

CALLING ALL THAT CAN STILL FIT INTO THAT WEDDING DRESS!!

Hey everyone!!!!!

In trying to expand into the wedding market and make some real money at what I do.

I am in desperate need of some good wedding portfolio images. So if anyone can still fit into their wedding dress and would like another opportunity to wear it and can talk your hubby into dressing up and getting his pose on, let me know. I will do a 2 hour session for FREE!!! and you will get a cd of all the images, including one touched up image of my choice that I choose to use for portfolio needs. That way you can have some more images just because or it is a great opportunity if you hated your wedding day pics. We can shoot at the temple or anywhere that you wish, and I am more than open to any ideas you might have. SANKS!

The Cabin

We took our first trip out of town with Audrey for conference weekend. I thought I would add it seeing as some of the pictures are just too cute not too. We decided to hit up the cabin and see the damage from a pretty snowy winter. Of course it was a blast. Daddy wasn't able to go because of work but we went with Grandma and Granpa and Uncle Peter and Jill and some of our good friends Kallen and Emily and Kennedy. It was just so fun. I am so glad that they could all come and partake of the wonderful blessing of fresh air with us.

Going to the cabin is just the right amount of get away. I love it. And there was just enough snow to build us some pretty dang cool snow creatures if I do say so myself. Enjoy the pictures.

ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ALREADY

To all of those who have been after my hind end to update the blog here it is.....

Audrey is officially four months old now. Actually 4 months and a week, I am a little behind. She is doing just great. She has rolled over successfully on her own 3 times now and I can tell that she is well on her way to understanding that she has control over that. She laughs the cutest little laugh ever and does so fairly readily for certain things. She has started to laugh a little now when she thinks something is funny or when you are doing something fun with her like see-saw!
She is the greatest little girl ever and I must say that I am very blessed to have such an amazing family. Our other big milestone is that I can now, put her in her crib, let her chew/cuddle her blanket and she will fall asleep completely on her own accord. This is a huge step up from the many crying sessions of swaddling and rocking to sleep that it used to take, although she is lots better at that as well.
We had a little scary moment with a big bout of diaper rash a couple weeks ago, didn't know what it was at first but it all healed nicely. Audrey also got her first cold this month and I must say I am proud to report that I have a trooper on my hands. And although she learned fast to pretty much loath the nose sucker she handled herself very well throughout the unfortunate event of being sick.
She grows cuter and stronger and more of a distraction in church for being so cute and talkative as each day passes. It is hard to believe that she is so big already. It sure is fun though.
Charles is still waiting to hear on a couple different job opportunities and we are still praying fervently to know what our future holds. We are breathing a sigh of relief that this semesters classes are almost over though.
I have had the great opportunity to do lots of new photography jobs this month. It is all very exciting and I have been able to pay for all the necessary equipment for basic photography needs. I hope each of you will take the time to check out some of the things I have done in the last little while on my link to Catch Photography Blog.
Not a whole lot else is happening except for runny noses with joyous spring allergies. We are greatly blessed and I thank all those that love us so much. I still have to take Audrey's 4 month pictures so I will post those soon. But here are some other fun ones.

The begining

I guess that I might as well submit. I had gotten away from the whole online share all your personal juice with everyone kind of stuff....but what can we say about creatures of habit. I can't promise that there will be great frequency of updates on here seeing as we are dealing with a new little family and there isn't always time for these things, but I think it is a fairly good idea so we will try.
